The Magnolia West High School Band prepared all summer and into the first week of school for the first varsity football game in Livingston.
“I was really, really, really nervous, but I had an awesome time playing in front of the crowd and I really had fun,” Freshman Ty Williams stated.
The band marched its’ opener and played “Confusion” by Petrouchka. The music played was from a Russian ballet and even the most experienced marchers and players were a little nervous.
Cecilia Chavez was “nervous and excited” to perform. As to why she felt she was nervous, “We hadn’t had a run through and it was the first game,” Chavez stated.
