Insecurities:
Katherine Hinchely before and after she was told she was pretty.
“Before you took the photo, I was thinking about silly you are. I still think you are. After you told me I am pretty, I felt happy and good about myself, knowing that I had just come from cross country and looked a mess. And plus, who doesn’t like a compliment every now and then? I’ve always been, and probably always will be, a little insecure about my weight. I have matured a lot in the past years, and even though I’m bigger than some of my friends, I know physical features don’t matter as much as your attitude and actions do. Usually, I don’t mind being a little overweight and I can always talk about it and not get upset. Inside, I am happy with who I am and what I look like, no matter what people or society might say differently.”
