Songwriting was not really a goal for Alessia, until the arrangements of some of her current songs became the beginnings of an album, which caught the eye of a major label.

The songs began to flow from her such as love songs and tales of teen life.

“Cara has a vocal prowess that is reminiscent of a soften, younger Rihanna and the storytelling talent of Swift. She is bound for greatness,” according to The Daily Californian.

Alessia Cara is a nineteen year old singer from Canada.  Just by her looks, it seems her personality is outgoing and she would be fun to chill with.

Her voice sounds raspy but she has the innocence and uniqueness that makes you love to listen to her.

Alessia Cara’s Extending Play “Four Pink Walls,” describes the contrast between what her life is like now versus what is was before.

The pink walls are the color of her bedroom which reflects the isolation at times of being in her bedroom before releasing her music.

Her EP, released in August, has received lots of airtime, and her current single, “Here” has over 500,000 total streams in its first week while getting great reviews for its freshness and insight.

Alessia herself thought her music can be labeled as  “unapologetically autobiographical.”

Cara confesses, “It’s a party song, but really it’s the complete opposite of a party song. It’s absolutely me; it shouts out the person in the corner of the party, looking around uncomfortably. I feel like this song narrates what the wallflower is thinking.”
